Who doesn’t love a good cast iron skillet? When properly seasoned and cared for, these cooking tools can create amazing dishes. Unfortunately, because of how they are made, the handles are the same material as the rest of the pan which means they can get hot!

These handy leather grips site comfortably over the handle of most Lodge branded cast iron pans or any pan with a standard 4.87-5″ handles. While the leather will get hot, it helps disperse the heat and keeps anyone holding it from being burned by the handle. The leather is vegetable tanned cowhide with a whiskey colored finish for a rustic look. Each grip is hand stitched and burnished for durability and includes ginger guards on the underside to allow for comfortable use even when lifting a full skillet with hot materials. The smaller grip can be snapped into place for ease of use while serving or moving the hot skillet around.

*Please note, while these are great tools for keeping hands safe and moving hot objects, these items are not fireproof, please avoid placing the handle grips directly over open flame, heating elements or inside ovens for more than a few moments to ensure they will last a long time.
